Two of the fundamental concepts you need to learn when getting started with Cloud Computing is Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operational Expenditure (OpEx).
CapEx has to do with the money an Organization uses for buying, or maintaining/upgrading fixed assets (i.e. building a data center).
OpEx has to do with the with the recurring expenditures of an Organization, that is the ongoing costs of doing business (i.e. marketing, consuming cloud services in a pay-as-you-go model, etc.)
