On the Azure cloud, there many types of data offering platforms and services.

There are RDBMS platforms for dealing with relational data, Document databases for dealing with document-based data, Graph databases that allow you to work with data that use nodes and edges, as well as other data services such as: Data Analytics, Column-family databases, Search Engine Databases, Object storage and Shared files.

Let’s see some examples below:

RDBMS Platforms/Services on Azure:

• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Database for MySQL
• Azure Database for PostgreSQL
• Azure Database for MariaDB

Azure Services with Document Database Support:

• Azure Cosmos DB SQL API

Azure Services with Graph Database Support:

• Azure Cosmos DB Gremlin API
• SQL Server.

• HBase in HDInsight
• Azure Search
• Azure Blob Storage
